John established Galbraith & Associates, Inc. in 1989, providing design, landscape architecture, and site planning services for both private and public clients. He has designed and implemented a wide variety of projects in Oregon and California, including civic and commercial facilities, housing, parks, historic preservation, streetscapes, open spaces, and state transportation projects. John provides solutions for environmentally sensitive areas and plans for wetland and riparian restoration. He is a certified arborist, knows construction techniques and plant materials, and is an industry leader in the uses of structural soil and permeable pavement. John has guided many projects through the public design process, serving as lead consultant. As principal, John will provide over-all coordination and oversight from conception to completion, including design development, research, site analysis, any tree evaluations, and program development. John will ensure that time schedules are met and that our team meets your needs throughout the project.

Norma is knowledgeable in design and site planning for commercial, residential and municipal projects. She is experienced in many phases of landscape architectural services including site analysis, design, graphic rendering, master plan development, construction documents, tree preservation and coordination of consultants. Norma Castelan has been with the firm since 1992, her training in landscape architecture and art adding to our depth and creativity. Norma’s experience with hardscape design combined with her artistic abilities uniquely qualify her to serve as a team designer, assisting with conceptual design and preparing graphic presentation materials for use in the planning process.
