North Medford High School, Medford OR
Renovations improved connections between areas and brought life and focus to gathering areas like the "Student Commons".
As the campus stood, it had no focus and poor connections between areas. Many portions of the campus had deteriorated to the point of not being usable during the rainy seasons, and students did not have a true “Student Commons” area for gathering. Most buildings were able to be saved and good site planning was used to bring unity to the existing school. Included in the campus renovations were new circulation and plaza areas, revised site grading to improve drainage, stormwater facilities within and around the academic core, and tree preservation in the vicinity of the new campus buildings.
